Temple Cluster Schools Receives Art Grants

(Carrollton, Ga. ­ May 5, 2016) The Temple Cluster Schools are excited to announce that cluster art programs have received four grants totaling $4,000 from the Community Foundation of West Georgia Arts Enrichment Grant Fund. This grant is designed to promote the arts in West Georgia. Mr. Adam Scurr who taught art at Providence Elementary and Temple Elementary this school year, and will be teaching art at Temple Middle and Temple High schools next year wrote the grants. He wrote four grants and received $1000.00 for each school. The grants for each school are: Providence Elementary: Clay Sculpture and Ceramics, Temple Elementary: Paint like an Impressionist, Temple Middle: Getting Started with Art, and Temple High: Fire it Up, Get the Kiln Running. Mr. Scurr will implement the grants at the middle and high school level, and Mrs. Brittany Dixon, the new art teacher for Providence Elementary and Temple Elementary will work with Mr. Scurr to implement the grants at the elementary schools.
