The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) of Mount Zion Middle School partnered with Pennies for Patients during Blood Cancer Awareness month to collect money to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A total of $317.28 was raised to support the Society’s mission to cure cancer and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Blood cancers, such as leukemia, affect more children and young adults under the age of 20 than any other type of cancer. To recognize the students for their efforts, the highest fundraising classroom in the school will receive a pizza party courtesy of FBLA during Homecoming Week.

Mt. Zion Middle FBLA is in its 2nd year supporting Pennies for Patients and hopes to continue the service project next year. Mrs. Tewanna Brown is the FBLA advisor.
