The Temple Middle School football team traveled to Heard County on Thursday, October 20, 2016, returning home with the Middle School Region Football Championship for the second time in the last three years. Head Coach Jody Wilson was proud to announce the 8th grade players, Ronald Tanner, Tyler Lathery, Thomas Jenkins, Phillip Johnson, Anthony Spychala, and Chris Moore played a vital role in the team’s success by exhibiting phenomenal leadership skills both on and off the field. In particular, Ronald Tanner showcased his leadership skills by leading the team to victory with three touchdowns during the playoff game.

Coach Wilson, would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the season and offer special thanks to his staff: Defensive Coordinator, Lance Hill; Offensive and Defensive Line Coach, Arlin Blackwell; and Special Teams Coordinator, John Butler. The Temple Tiger are very proud of this recognition and plan to continue to bring home the Region Championship every year.
