Highway 27 Pizza Hut Now Open
Pizza Hut on Highway 27 recently opened after relocating a short distance across the road inside Park Plaza South shopping center. Owners say the move reflects Pizza Hut’s new initiative to make pizza more convenient than ever.
“We want to make the process of getting a pizza as simple and easy as possible; and the new location allows us to better accomplish that goal,” said Stewart Seagroves, director of business development for Southeast Restaurants Corporation.
Pizza Hut was acquired by Southeast Restaurants Corporation in 2010 and began revamping their stores in an effort to expedite their services. Seagroves said more than 50 percent of Pizza Hut’s orders now come from its website, www.pizzahut.com or its mobile app.
“The new location allows us to better achieve our “convenience” goal with a better kitchen configuration and the latest cutting-edge technology,” said Seagroves. “Most importantly, it is much easier to get in and out of our new location, especially if the carry-out customer or the delivery driver is going North.”
The new location has seating for up to 15 people, as well as counter service.
Pizza Hut originally opened in Carrollton in 1975, and remained at the same location for 41 years. Seagroves said he hopes customers enjoy the new restaurant style.
“After 41 years, we felt like it was time to upgrade to a new facility to better serve our customers,” said Seagroves. “The new location is much easier to get in and out of, and has the latest restaurant technology and equipment. We will also continue dine-in service with the type of “counter” service you see at other quick-service restaurants.
