Mark Dye has worked with jewelry for over forty years and has the experience and know-how to create jewelry that will last a multitude of lifetimes. First opening in 1985 in the location that is now Underground Books, Mark has made his jewelry ideas come to life. His shop is now located at 116B Rome Street in Carrollton and this is where he has remained for the past 16 years. In the beginning Mark worked with all gold, but with the previous spike in the gold industry he has branched out and found his niche working with silver, an equally beautiful metal. Much of Mark’s jewelry is adorned with stones such as turquoise that add a beautifully distinct layer to his jewelry.
Cuffs, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets all flow as freely through his shop as his never-ending supply of music. Blues posters and newspaper clippings replace the need for wallpaper and fill Mark’s historic business with blurbs from the city’s past. Mark’s Jewelry has a logo as unique as his product. A palm tree wraps around Mark’s name, and according to Mark, serves the purpose of offering a “laid-back vibe that’s different from most jewelry store signs.”
