Small Town Bank: A Real Community Bank
Establishing a personal relationship, while providing friendly customer service is Small Town Bank’s main goal. The bank recently opened its newest location in Carrollton on Bankhead Highway at First Tuesday Mall. It is a full-service office, offering deposit and loan products along with a 24-hour ATM. This is Small Town Bank’s first location in the state of Georgia.
“We are a real community bank where we treat our customers like family, instead of just a number,” said Patty Shoemake, Branch Manager and Loan Officer. “We are a bank for people who want to go back to simple banking.”
Small Town Bank first opened in Wedowee, Alabama in 1999. The company has grown to open locations in Roanoke, Ranburne, and Heflin, Alabama. Additionally, the bank has a loan production office in Oxford, Alabama and now in west Georgia, as well.
“All of our employees wear the same hat, so-to-speak,” stated Shoemake. “When you call our bank, you’ll speak to a real person who is going to find out what you need and help take care of you.”
Local residents will likely see some familiar faces at Small Town Bank. Shoemake explained, “Galen Hobbs, Vice President of Commercial Loans and Kay Collins, our Head Teller are both long-time Carrollton residents who have been in the banking industry for many years. Our Carrollton branch has more than 90 years of combined banking experience between our top three members.”
Small Town Bank offers a quick turnaround on personal and business loans. In addition to loan and deposit products, Small Town Bank offers online banking and bill pay for added customer convenience. The bank is currently testing its mobile banking app for cellphones. It anticipates rolling this product out in 2017.
