    Bowdon High School Announces New Band Director

    (Carrollton, Georgia – April 2, 2017) Mr. Matthew Bass was named Band Director of Bowdon High School at the Carroll County Board of Education called board meeting on March 30, 2017.

    Mr. Bass began his career in education with the Bremen City School District in 2007. He was named Band Director at Bremen Middle School and Assistant Band Director at Bremen High School in 2008.

    Throughout his career, Mr. Bass has led middle and high school bands to Superior Ratings at Large Group Performance Evaluation events. Mr. Bass’ educational credentials include his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Music Education from the University of West Georgia.

    Mr. Bass stated, “He hopes to continue the great legacy that the Red Devils have established and build a future for all who love music. I am thrilled to welcome Mr. Bass to the Bowdon High School.”

    “The BHS band program has a rich tradition of excellence. I believe that Mr. Bass’ infectious charisma, passion for children, and commitment to excellence will serve him well as he honors that past while preparing our students for the future. ” Ms. Evans, Principal of Bowdon High School stated.
