Bowdon Middle School’s 8th grade physical science students participated in Carroll EMC’s “Great Solar Car Race.” Students were provided the materials to build and test cars using batteries (chemical energy). After revising and testing their cars, Carroll EMC came to judge and award prizes. On race day, students had to power their cars with only solar energy using panels provided by Carroll EMC. Classes competed against each other and the final races were very competitive! Final results were: Dusty SmithJacob Funderburke-1st place; Eithan Lanier-2nd place; Tanesha Kirk-3rd place. Thank you Carroll EMC for providing the winners with gift cards! Fun was had by all who participated.
