New stores are on the horizon for First Tuesday Mall. Some of the shopping center’s existing stores are said to be relocating while others are preparing to move in.
According to Erin Rabe, media relations manager for RCG Ventures, a new shoe store will soon open in the mall. Shoe Show, one of the country’s largest footwear retailers, plans to open a new location in the fall of this year next to Citi Trends. Shoe Show currently has more than 1,100 stores in 45 states. The retailer carries a variety of shoe styles for people of all ages.
In addition to Shoe Show, local shoppers will also have a new soul food destination to enjoy. Alton Douthitt, owner of Alton’s Smoke House, says he will soon open a new restaurant in First Tuesday Mall called Melbea’s Soul Food. “Melbea’s Soul Food is going to be a soul food restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner,” said Douthitt. “The restaurant idea was something my godmother always wanted to do. She passed away recently after battling cancer, so we plan to dedicate the restaurant to her. We are looking forward to opening on August first when we will be hosting a grand opening celebration.” Melbea’s will be located in the former Papa’s Pizza location.
Divine Beauty, a new beauty store, is set to open soon next to Melbea’s.
