    Taste of Carrollton

Carrollton Main Street invites you to come discover what makes our community altogether delicious at the 26th Annual Taste of Carrollton tonight starting at 5:30 p.m.

The event is hosted on Adamson Square, and will feature dozens of Carrollton’s best restaurants and eateries, as well as contests.

“We are excited to announce a new ice cream eating contest between some of our amazing local churches and the big competition between Carrollton High School and Central High School Students,” said Main Street Director Aundi Lesley. “Teams of 3 to 6 will represent each school and church in a good, old-fashioned ice cream eat-off. We are also very excited to have our new local brewery, Printer’s Ale, at this year’s event as part of our Food and Brew package.”

Lesley says attendance for TOC continues to grow each year, and this year’s event will be no exception.

“This event brings people from all over West Georgia,” said Lesley. “Our local community supports this event every year with a great turnout. It’s a family-friendly atmosphere and fun for everyone. Taste of Carrollton brings two of our favorite things together: community and food.”

TOC features local restaurants and caterers, and provides them with an opportunity to show off their delicious creations.

“It’s a great way for restaurants to gain exposure, and for the community to try a restaurant that they may never have tried if not for TOC,” said Lesley. “We have a plethora of genres from around the world represented right here in our fabulous town like Italian, Asian, Tex-Mex, Brazilian, Hawaiian, American and more.”

The event is also a great way to give back to the Carrollton community as funding from TOC goes into making downtown improvements, and more functions that the community can enjoy.

Participating restaurants will compete to win Best Restaurant Around Town, Best Restaurant on the Square and Restaurant of the Year.

Purchase tickets to exchange for bite-sized culinary creations and specialty items from our local restaurants and caterers. Tickets are valued at $1 each. This year’s Food and Brew package includes 5 food tickets, a wristband and souvenir cup for $20. You can purchase tickets at the Main Street Office (115 Rome Street), Horton’s Bookstore and Merle Norman Cosmetics. Tickets will also be available to purchase at the event.
