(October 3, 2017, Carrollton, Georgia). Central High School English teacher, Ms. Marla Williams, received the Georgia Power New Teacher Assistance Grant. Ms. Williams is one of 41 recipients from around the state to receive $1,000 to aid in the first year of teaching. Georgia Power believes by supporting new teachers in the classroom they are not only helping the teacher, but the future workforce of Georgia. Ms. Williams teaches 9th grade literature classes.
