The Carrollton High School Trojan Marching Band will kick off the new year by performing at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Mercedes Benz Stadium on New Year’s Day.

Band Director Chris Carr said this is the second time in the past four years the band has been invited to be part of the mass pregame show, but the first time in the new Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The band will also participate in the Peach Bowl Parade at 8:00 that morning before the 12:30 p.m. kickoff between Auburn University and the University of Central Florida in the college championships semifinal game.

“This will be a historic event for the students and they will make stories that they can pass down for years,” said Carr. “We are excited to be a part of this.”
